This is a nice example of the rare WWII Vehicle Scabbard for the U. S. M1 Carbine that is in a remarkable state of preservation. The scabbard shows signs of being honestly used, and then looks to have been coated with a wax like preservative and put into storage. It shows wear to the blacked finish on most of the metal components, and light wear to the leather, which is now a nice russet brown color. The original
