Germany, Heer. A Pair of Tropical Wehrmacht Field Service Breeches Newly Listed with two Iron Crosses 1939(Wehrmacht Tropenhose). An example of tropical Wehrmacht (Heer) service trousers as worn by enlisted personnel in the entire Mediterranean theater of war, including Africa and Southern Italy. This pair of service trousers is constructed of olive drab coloured cotton twill, the front with one diagonal slit pocket at waist height per side, with a horizontal slit fob pocket to the left of the right side pocket, with an additional horizontal slit pocket
