(I was wearing my A2 jacket with the Air Force and CBI patches on the shoulders) Turns out he was a crew man on C-109s out of India to China

Stock is in very nice condition

The trousers are also Navy blue with wide red stripe down the outside seams

This is a truly great example of a three draw British WW1 Artillery Telescope, still with the original markings on the tube by the eyepiece: TEL. SIG. (Mk. III) ALSO G. S. W. OTTWAY & Co LTD EALING 1911 No. 1402. On the brass barrel under the extendable front sun shade it is engraved with the owners name: MAJ. R. J. SMITH. R. A. Fully opened with extended sun shield, this telescope is 35" overall and just 10 1 2" when closed.
