Germany, Imperial. A Wound Badge, Black Grade Archive maker marked oval disk inscribed(Verwundetenabzeichen in Bronze). Constructed of bronze, the obverse consisting of an oval laurel wreath, with a central Stahlhelm on top of crossed swords, the reverse with a barrel hinge and vertical pinback meeting a round wire catch, unmarked, measuring 39. 31 mm (w) 44. 92 mm (h), weighing 9. 5 grams, loss of black paint, in better than very fine condition.
