This rifle was fielded in the late 19th Century by the AUSTRO-HUNGARIAN Empire until 1895
with a bright finish with just a bit of oxidation spotting
and the top of the barrel has a faint 1864 date
and the side buttons for the chin strap over the ears also bear the Medical Corps Cross
So using British equipment they played a significant role in the final Campaign that routed the German invasion
