It is stamped with the initials of 502 Parachute Infantry Regiment commander George Van Horn Moseley (GVM). All 101st Airborne parachutes and reserve chutes had the initials of their commanders stamped for D Day. The hooks on this example were replaced later, but the initials confirm that this bag
