Oysters, Pink on Grey humans chalky lemonOverview While working on her Whats Below collection in London, Merenda was inspired by some beautiful oysters she had eaten. After bringing the shells back to her flat and doing several continuous line drawings with pen on paper for each of the shells, Oysters was born. Oysters played a major role in NYCs historyfrom the Lenape Native Americans who lived and used them for food, plaster, tools and burial grounds, to the great oyster trade era near the
