Constructed of silvered bronze, the obverse consisting of an oval chain link wreath, with a central raised anchor, overlaid by crossed swords, the reverse with a barrel hinge and vertical pinback meeting a flat wire catch, unmarked, measuring 38. 62 mm (w) x 44. 04 mm (h), weighing 8. 8 grams, accompanied by a stick pin miniature, constructed of silvered bronze, of identical appearance, unmarked,
