The nickel hilt plating is bright throughout and remains 90% intact. The grip plates are the checkered black Bakelite type, in excellent condition and retained by steel rivets with dressed obverse heads. The scabbard has the original black paint, still bright and about 70% intact. The original frog shows normal attic crazing but is still sound. The frog is dated
