Croatia, Independent State. An Order Of Merit, Ii Class, Christain Version, C.1942 Hold A Heer Medical Officer’s brocade(Red za zasluge). Instituted in 1942. In silver with red enamels, measuring 44 mm (w) x 44. 5 mm (h), vertical pinback, small chip evident in the red enamels on the arm at 9 o'clock on the obverse, along with silvering wear on the pin, better than very fine. Footnote: The Order of Merit was instituted on April 10, 1942 and awarded in four grades: Grand Cross, I Class, II Class and III Class, with separate insignia for Christian and Moslem recipients.
