This is a very nice example of a WWII USGI M 7 Canvas cover for the 1917A1 Browning Water Cooled Machine Gun. This cover is made from heavy canvas with heavy stitching, lift the dot snaps, and leather reinforcements to protect the easily damaged portions of the gun. There is even a leather "boot" to accommodate the pintle when mounted. The cover is marked with black stenciling on the side: COVER, MACHINE GUN, M7 D
