scattered spots of surface rust evident on the reverse

with the silver finish approximately 75% preserved on the reverse

number impressed "2499" on the reverse of the trophy of arms

Constructed of gilded bronze, on loop for suspension from its period original ribbon, the obverse with a monogram of Wilhelm I, the reverse with a gorget style shield bearing an inscriptions of FR TREUEN DINEST IN EINEM FELDZUGE (FOR FAITHFUL SERVICE IN THE CAMPAIGN), unmarked, measuring 29. 77 mm in diameter, weighing 13. 9 grams, in near extremely fine condition.
