Instituted 19 May 1808 by King Maximilian I. Joseph. (1808 1918 issue). Constructed of gilded silver with multi coloured enamels,, consisting of an eight armed cross finish which red enamels and with shallow rays protruding between each arm, joined through the outer edge by a green enameled oak leaf wreath interspersed with acorns, the obverse bearing a central medallion executed in a blue and white
