Original German WWII Late Pattern Metropolitan Police Shako by Hans Römer with Chinstrap British Swagger Stick Probably used in the galleyOriginal Item: This is a very nice 1936 Officers pattern Tschako with police green wool body and black trim. It has a very fine quality police officer eagle with a simulated bullion wire aluminum cockade on the front, and a black leather chinstrap around the "pickelhaube" style lugs. Higher ranks would have a scaled chin strap. A great Polizei helmet (shako) as used by the metropolitan police, unlike some of the more common ones found trimmed in brown
