This is a lovely likely American made "Box Lock" style Pocket Flintlock pistol, featuring a 2 inch "turn off" . 44" smoothbore barrel, with the flint still firmly in the hammer. There is no maker marked on the frame, not uncommon for late 18th century pistols, and it has some lovely engraved designs on both sides. There are no proof marks, which indicates this lovely pistol was likely made inside North America,
