Germany, Heer. A Kuban Shield for Panzer Troops, by Karl Wurster Democratic Republic of the Footnote: The Order of Naval(Heer Kubanschild fr Mannschaften der Panzertruppe). Constructed of bronzed zink, the obverse consisting of a stylized map of the Kuban region, topped by an inscription of KUBAN and a Wehrmacht eagle clutching a wreathed mobile swastika, in turn flanked by a date of 1943, affixed with all four intact reverse prongs to a magnetic metal backplate with a black wool liner and black faux leather backer, unmarked but demonstrating the characteristics of
