though much of the black finish on the leather has unfortunately flaked away

Here we have a fantastic piece of German WWII Luftwaffe history: an aluminum section of the rear horizontal stabilizer or tail fin of a Messerschmidt Bf 109. This was one of the two main fighters used by the Luftwaffe during WWII, the other being the Focke Wulf Fw 190. Material related to these two fighters has always been sought after and is highly collectible. The tail fin section measures approximately 19" x 19", and
