A Braunschweiger style Totenkopf cap badge, executed in an unusual pattern, the obverse consisting of a skull with deeply indented details, above crossed bones, the reverse with all three attachment prongs intact, unmarked, measuring 27 mm (w) x 29MM (l), as worn by members of the Infanterie Regiment 92 and Husaren Regiment 17, in extremely fine condition.
