Assay notes
Description

this dagger features a 9 3/4 inch nickel-plated steel blade

The medal is approximately 4" long and 1 1/2" wide

The usual reason for this stamping a perfectly good rifle as for Drill Purpose was that it allowed the Regimental Armorer to write the weapon off and  apply for a brand new often far better replacement rifle

The revolver action functions correctly
