This is a fantastic 1944 USMC enlistment poster which features a painting by Marine Technical Sergeant Harry A. Jackson. The poster reads: TARAWA At Tarawa, Japan's garrison was confident of stopping the United States' great amphibious drive. The Second Marine Division, Reenforced, assaulted that gun laden atoll on Nov. 20, 1943, and in 76 hours of flaming battle silenced the last Japanese gun raised at the Stars and
