The speckled spathe rolls back as it opens, resembling a white banana being peeled. Inside is an amorphous shaped, white, banana like spadix (looking as if it were left in the microwave too long). When the flowering event is over, expect a green and black speckled stem to rise from the ashes, topped with a giant dissected green leaf. Each bulb will offset small bulblets for propagation
