This is a lovely example of German WWII Kuban Bridgehead Shield, with a metal shield attached to field gray wool Heer (Army) cloth backing. This example shows light wear from service, with the bronzing on the front of the stamped steel shield worn through in a few places, which have oxidized. The backing plate is intact with all four prongs present, and the paper backing is mostly present as well, though it is worn
