A Pith Helmet Eagle consisting of a blue enamelled Romanian Cross with clusters of nine gilt rays in eac constructed of gilded and patinated(Kriegsmarine Mtzenadler fr die Tropenhelm). Constructed of gilded tombak, the obverse consisting of an elongated Kriegsmarine eagle clutching a wreathed mobile swastika, the reverse retaining all three original lugs, unmarked, measuring 110 mm (w) x 52 mm (h), both the lugs and overall structure of the eagle demonstrating bending consistent with field wear and uniform removal, in near extremely fine condition.
