This is an excellent unissued example with an lovely metal shield attached to field gray wool Heer (Army) cloth backing. The wool is in great shape, with just a bit of fading, and no mothing. There is no rear paper backing on this example, but not all were issued with them. This example was never fitted to a uniform, and still retains the original antiqued brass finish, with just a bit of oxidation at the top.
