A Unique 1943 Demjansk Shield Prototype From The Estate Of Professor Klein Buy Now Kruse & Söhne AThis is a rare prototype of the 1943 version of the commonly encountered 1942 Demjansk Shield, from the estate of Professor Richard Klein, who served as the designer of numerous awards and decorations during the Third Reich. It is constructed of stamped silvered metal (magnetic); on a Wehrmacht issue feldgrau wool backer; with its magnetic backing plate (missing one of its four pins); the shield measuring 107 mm x 58 mm; unissued but with light wear
